My name is Aoife and I teach law and child/youth rights in University College Cork. I write about children and how they can help protect the environment. It is important that governments and others protect their rights to be heard and to have a healthy environment. I have also been helping the United Nations committee that works on children’s rights. The Committee are deciding how different countries should work with children to protect their rights when it comes to the environment.
I am delighted to be working with the Children and Young People’s Assembly on Biodiversity Loss – it is a great way for children/youth to be heard on an important issue!
