My name is Valery and my work involves creating spaces for children and young people to better understand their power and the different systems that structure society in the hope that they will become active participants in shaping the future. I have co-created similar spaces for children and young people in Ireland to have their say in topics of climate and global justice and I hope that the citizen assembly model used in this project will further support youth participation in decision making. I look forward to working with a talented team of children, young people and adults to design an amazing Assembly on Biodiversity Loss.
